And so it begins - 'Held'

My latest solo show is about to happen - Oct 26-Nov3rd @ Connells Point Sailing Club.

’Held’

A sculpture exhibition highlighting mental health and support.

I have invited my daughter Rachael and ‘old’ friend Warwick Saxby to show together.

The human condition is fragile, and it's okay to admit that we all need help at times. An outstretched hand can be one of the greatest sources of comfort when life gets tough. Allowing ourselves to be ‘Held’ is to be at our most vulnerable. Holding someone at their most vulnerable is a powerful act, and supporting others in their vulnerability is one of the purest offerings of love we can give to each other. Alluding to the ancient metaphor of lives being tossed by the waves of the sea, we are all broken vessels in need of support, whether we like it or not. This initiative aims to offer hope and support in this turbulent world, so often filled with distress, anxiety, and depression.

A percentage of all sales will go directly to RUOK, Beyond Blue, and the Black Dog Institute.
